Abstract

A comparative study of effect of insecticide (Cidial 50 Ec) and insecticide Icounan on the mosquitoes

The study included the of agriculture insecticide (Cidial 50 Ec)) on the adult and larvae of mosquitoes and a comparative with effective insecticide of mosquitoes ((Icounan 10%)).
Preparing groups of mosquitoes (adult and larvae) .Three groups were treated with different concentration of (4, 8, 16) ml/litter of (Cidial 50 Ec), and the fourth group treated with (Icounan 10%) while the fifth group treated with water as control group.
The insecticide (Cidial 50 Ec)) show the effect of the lower percentage of mortality was 25% while in the highest dose was100% , the lower percent mortality of the larvae 15% and the highest percent was in 16 ml/litter, compared that with the Icounan 10% the mortality rate in adult and larvae 100% , while the control group with two insecticide there was no effect.
The study show there was no interaction between the stages of insects with sensitivity of agriculture insecticide and the randomly spray of agriculture insecticide may lead the resistance of mosquitoes to several of insecticide which have nearly similar chemical composition to that used against to the mosquitoes insecticide.
